International Travels

Port-au-Prince, Haiti

It wasn't as long a plane ride from Miami to Haiti as we thought it would be.  It only took about  one and a half hours.  Not bad since Haiti is 681 miles away from Florida.  During our travels in Haiti we quickly found out that not very many roads are paved, they are all pretty much just dirt.  In fact only 628 miles of all the roads are paved.  This made for some very bumpy rides!  We had a great time visiting an elementary school....

Alps, Italy

The Swiss Alps was a very cold but very fun adventure!  There were so many beautiful things to see.  People come from all over the world to ski the famous slopes of the Alps.  We visited a beautiful and very old chateau, which is the French word for house.  Noodles had her picture taken next to a restaurant that was named after her.  Well, not really, but it was called Noodles.  The food was very yummy.  We also learned that Disneyland...

National Travels

Des Plaines, Illinois

While in Des Plaines, our hosts were excited to take us to the major city of Chicago.  We visited the Willis Tower, which used to be called the Sears Tower.  It is over 1,000 ft tall, and our view from the top was amazing, and a little scary.  We learned that Chicago is the largest city in the state of Illinois, and it is located right next to Lake Michigan.  Abraham Lincoln, our 16th President, was an Illinois lawyer and congressman....
