About Our Host

Lisa – Lisa and her family were our hosts during our Illinois adventure. They invited us to come visit them at their home in Des Plaines, Illinois. They were great hosts and didn’t waste anytime showing us around. We met Lisa through her brother Morris. Morris is a great guy too but we have decided that Lisa is much more fun. We want to thank them for being such great tour guides.

While in Des Plaines, our hosts were excited to take us to the major city of Chicago.  We visited the Willis Tower, which used to be called the Sears Tower.  It is over 1,000 ft tall, and our view from the top was amazing, and a little scary.  We learned that Chicago is the largest city in the state of Illinois, and it is located right next to Lake Michigan.  Abraham Lincoln, our 16th President, was an Illinois lawyer and congressman.  Grant Park & Millennium Park were also two of our favorite sites to visit.  They are located right next to each other, and Grant Park is 24.5 acres huge.  Chicago is a major world center for music, especially for Blues & Jazz, and it is the home of the famous Chicago Cubs.
